When watching sport with friends you may want higher light levels for a more sociable feel. When watching a film, lower light levels will help immerse you in the drama.

Plasma and LCD screens can be watched in normal daylight. Most projector based systems need lower light levels.

By incorporating lighting control into the cinema the mood and use of the room can be changed quickly and easily. Lighting can be controlled from the remote so you don't have to think about it. Pressing play when watching a DVD will lower the light levels for comfortable viewing, pressing pause will bring them up again. Selecting Sky can set a different light level.
